Each year, the Louisiana Travel Promotion Association (LTPA) honors and showcases individuals and organizations which have made outstanding contributions to the tourism industry in Louisiana and/or created innovative, results-producing marketing strategies or customer service promotions which attract visitors to Louisiana. The winners are awarded the “Louey Award” for their category.

The main categories are: • Outstanding CVBs/TCs of the Year • Tourism Campaign/Promotion of the Year • Victor Profis (Southern Living) Memorial Travel Media Award • Travel Attraction of the Year • Accommodations of the year - which include: (1) Full service lodging; (2) Limited-service lodging; and (3) Bed and Breakfasts • Restaurateur of the Year • Campground/RV Park of the Year • Major Event of the Year • Rising Star of the Year
